Beyla 6 month checkup

Beyla had her doctor appointment for her 6 month shots and check up last week a few days before she turned 7 months.

Her stats are:
Weight: 16lbs - 30%
Height: 26.5 inches - 30%
Head circumfrance: 17.25 inches - 65%

She is still such a mama's girl. She doesn't have stranger danger anymore! She crawls backwards. She gets very frustrated trying to move forward. She tries to pull herself up to standing. Loves her brother and her dad. Talks a bunch of baby gibberish. Says mamamama when she is upset. HATES being in her carseat and hates when we drive in a dip or over a bump. She has perfected her cry so right away it sounds like she's been crying forever, with tears and everything. She likes to grab faves and kiss/eat them. She is a midget and I have to put a box under her feet in her jumpy so that her feet touch the bottom. She loves pop music.

Brody loves his sister but really likes to try and throw things at her. He is getting better at playing make believe, which is really good. I feel bad that I have sooo many pictures of Beyla but Brody won't stand still for pictures of he gets mad at me for taking pictures of him. I do have thousands of pictures of him though so I don't feel to guilty.

I'm going through a lot of personal issues right now so I have been a bad blogger. Things have been very hard for me right now and I'm just trying to figure everything out. I wanted to write down a bit about my kids so I don't forget.

Beyla turned 6 months on May 30th!
She has her 6 months appointment a few days before she turns 7 months so I can't put any of her stats yet.

She is a total mamas girl! She wants me to hold her ALL THE TIME. If I'm nog holding her she needs to be able to see me or she will get really upset.

She is constantly moving-- rolling or scooting around on the floor.
She loves to put her feet in her mouth.
She is almost a pro at sitting.

Brody finished preschool the end of last month. His teacher looked like she was going to cry because she won't be his teacher next school year. Brody loved school and I think he REALLY misses that schedule. He has been a little punk lately.

Brody seems to really like Beyla a lot more lately. Those two are the cutest to watch together. I love them so much. Being a mom is really the best thing ever.

HOLY BUSY WEEK

Alright so I need to write this all on my blog before I forget anything because I forget a lot of things lately!

Beyla had her 4 month (she was a little over 4.5 months) appointment on April 18th and her stats are as follows:
Weight- 14lbs even                              : 43%
Height- 25.5 inches                              : 79%
Head circumference- 16.25 inches      : 45%

What happened to my itty bitty baby?! As per usual she pooped through her clothes right before they called us back. She got her shots and did so well! I hate that sad little/big cry she does, makes my heart break! She got a nasty fever the next day but other then that she was good!

The same day Beyla had her fever Brody came down with a horrible cough and runny nose.

Raul had been feeling under the weather and extremely thirsty and hungry since around his birthday, April 8th (HAPPY 28th my love!!). Finally last Saturday, April 19th, we went to quick care to see if he needed to be rehydrated. He was sooooo thirsty and his mouth was extremely dry no matter what, nothing he drank would quench his thirst. At quick care they did a blood glucose test and it tested to high(anything over 600) for the monitor to read so they needed to draw his blood and send it to the lab for immediate testing. They told us normal blood sugar levels are between 70-100 and anything 250-300 are considered dangerous and high. After the blood test results came back we were told that it was at 900 and they were shocked he wasn't in a coma. They transferred him to the ER to get immediate treatment to bring down his high blood sugar levels.

At the ER he was put on an IV for fluids so he could get rehydrated and also a insulin drip. With high blood sugar your body dehydrates you by constantly flushing out the fluid to try and get rid of the sugar in the blood. He was then transferred by ambulance to another hospital with a CCU/ICU. He was in the ICU for the rest of that day and night and the next afternoon transferred to the floor because they were able to get his blood sugar levels down to a more decent level. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and shown the ins and outs of taking his BG levels, giving himself insulin shots and how to eat with diabetes to keep his BG in good ranges. He was released late afternoon on Monday. Being diagnosed with this is very overwhelming because you have to get used to a new life style and make big changes to keep yourself healthy.

Raul, Brody and Beyla are now all sick with this NASTY chest cold. It's horrible and I feel so bad for them. My brother is getting married in Utah on Saturday so we get to travel for the first time of a family of 4 but 3 are sick... not so fun. I'm really hoping and praying that it passes soon and that Beyla doesn't get the full force of it. Hopefully if I do get it it is after everyone else is over it, that way I can be feeling fine and not sick while caring for Brody and Beyla.

Tomorrow is another busy day starting off with two doctor appoints in the morning.

So I don't forget..

Beyla rolled over for the first time on Saturday March 2nd! I did such a bad job writing these things down with Brody and it makes me feel so bad and like a bad mom. I wish I could go back in time just to do write everything down.

We just bought a little potty for Brody so I can start potty training him! Wish me luck!

2 month check up and shots

Beyla had her two month checkup today, although she is 2.5 months. I didn't think about it being Valentines day when I scheduled the appointment. She pooped through her clothes in the waiting room- so we were off to a good start!
She got her shots and that was horrible! She cried so hard and was so sad! For almost all day(up until a couple hours ago) she hasn't let me put her down with out screaming! She's been sleeping most of the day as well, I think because of the trauma from the shots.
Dr. Hale said she is doing amazing and right on track, no concerns at all with her. Beyla was so funny, Dr. Hale put her down on her tummy(which I don't do much because she HATES it) and she popped her head up and kept it up so she could look at me. She is so strong!! Here are her stats:

Weight: 11lbs 12oz - 5th percentile
Height: 22inches - 30th percentile
Head cir: 15inches - 15th percentile

*coos & does little giggles
*always smiling
*holds her head up all the time by herself
*grabs onto things
*trying to reach for things
*tracks things with her eyes

Alright!

I am so bad at keeping up on here!!

Beyla is now 2 months, but more precisely 10 weeks old. She coo's and is starting to giggle! She LOVES to watch Brody. She talks to him, smiles, laughs and that boy could care less. He does love to kiss her and pat her softly. He also likes when I assist him in holding her and loves to wake her up whenever she is sleeping on the couch or in the car seat. Mind you this is while I'm trying to get stuff done. I try to let him know that she is sleeping or just let it go. I don't want him to get frustrated with me and feel like he's being "bad" by wanting to see her.

Beyla also does a short high pitched scream when I'm about to put her down. She also will cry if she can't see or hear me. She gets excited when she sees me while someone else is holding her. She loves for me to hold her 24/7. Sometimes after she eats she will lay on the couch for maybe 10 minutes contently. She definitely is a mama's girl now! She loves her papa, smiles, laughs and talks her little heart out to him. It is so sweet to see, especially because it means so much to her dad and makes him very happy! Life definitely is a bit more hectic. Hopefully soon we will get a good schedule going. I really want to start to work out again, it keeps me sane. Also classes started again for school for me!!

Well that's all that I've got for now!
